SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Where do you deliver and what are the costs?
1. Fresh Dog Food: We deliver to most addresses in Ontario (ON) and Quebec (QC). Availability and pricing are validated by your postal code at checkout.
Service Note: To guarantee our cold-chain quality, we may be unable to reach certain remote locations where transit times exceed our safety window.
2. Slow Feeder Bowls: We offer FREE Shipping Canada-wide on all bowl-only orders!
When will I receive my order?
1. Fresh Dog Food: To ensure maximum freshness and safety, we operate on a fixed weekly shipping schedule:
- Order Cut-off: Orders placed by Sunday at 11:59 PM will be processed for the following week’s shipment.
- Shipping Days: We ship all fresh food orders once a week on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Estimated Delivery (after shipping):
- GTA: Typically delivered the same day or next day.
- Other ON/QC areas: Usually arrive within 1–3 days.
2. Slow Feeder Bowls: Bowl-only orders are shipped throughout the week and typically arrive within 2-5 business days across Canada.
What if I’m not home when the delivery arrives?
We’ll send you a reminder email the day before your scheduled delivery. Our boxes are packed with heavy-duty insulation to keep food frozen until the evening of your delivery day.If you know you won't be home to receive the box, please let us know in advance—we are happy to adjust your delivery date for you!
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
Currently, we require a physical street address for fresh food deliveries to ensure the meals are kept in a temperature-controlled environment and not left in unmonitored lockers.
STORAGE & SERVING
How do I store the food?
- Freezer: Store for up to 6 months.
- Fridge: Thaw in the refrigerator 24 hours before serving. Once thawed and kept sealed, our packs stay fresh for up to 4 days.
What if the food arrives partially thawed?
If the packs are still cold to the touch (like milk from the fridge), they are safe to feed or put back in the freezer. If they feel warm, please do not feed them and contact us at hello@skovpet.com with your order number and photos.
How do I recycle your packaging?
- Cardboard box & paper inserts: recycle curbside.
- Gel packs: Cut them open, dispose of the non-toxic gel in the trash (it will safely dehydrate), and recycle the outer plastic film. Do not pour gel down the drain.
- Multi-layer insulation: Please check your local municipal guidelines for specific disposal instructions for liners or other insulation.
- Dry-ice (if included): allow any remaining dry ice to dissipate in a well-ventilated area away from people and pets.
